What type of products do you carry?

We carry a large assortment of vinyl (PVC), chain link, and aluminum fences. We also carry some wood and custom style fences.

How far do you deliver?

We deliver materials to the following states: NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE, MD, VA

Do you need a permit for a fence installation in New Jersey?

Most towns in NJ require us a permit/zoning approval to ensure all building codes are followed properly. To apply, you will need an application which can be obtained from your local building/zoning department. You will also need a copy of your survey highlighted with the fence details, a copy of the contractor’s license/federal tax ID number, and details of the fence project such as the style, height of fence, etc.

What are the requirements if I own a swimming pool?

If you own a swimming pool, there are specific requirements based on your specific town and building department. Usually, zoning and building permits and additional requirements based on your municipality. The fence, gates, and hardware need to comply with the local pool code.

I am replacing my old fence, do I need a fence permit?

Most towns require a permit. Please get in contact with your town for fence regulations. This can be found on your city’s website in the permits and inspection area.

What is NJ 811?

It’s a law in NJ which requires either the homeowner or the installer to call for utility mark-outs before we dig underground. American Fence Company Corp. will call for utility mark-outs on your installation. Utility and water companies will flag any public underground lines. Private lines are the sole responsibility of the client. Client assumes all responsibility for marking of any private lines, ie: sprinklers, underground pipes, pool lines, gas lines, electrical lines, invisible dog fence, etc.

When can I expect my job to be installed?

An installation can be scheduled once we have the following:

  • A job can’t be started until all necessary permits have been obtained and New Jersey One Call 811 has been contacted. Once permits are obtained and the property is marked, you will be notified of your installation date. Material availability, custom material, and weather can also be a factor in determining the start date of a job.

How long will it take to complete my job?

Many factors can determine your job’s completion date. Fence installations for a residential average size property lasts 1-2 days and for commercial projects it might take longer.

How deep do you set your posts?

Posts are set 2.5 to 3 feet deep, depending on the height of fence.

Does the crew need access to water and electricity?

Yes, the crew will need access to electricity and water on the day of fence installations.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, a copy of our warranty is provided along with the fence estimate and you can request a copy from the office staff at any time.

Do I have to be home on the day of installation?

We ask that someone is home when our installations are scheduled. This way, you can review and confirm the fence layout and answer any questions that our installation crew may have. We also ask for someone to be home once the installation is complete so that you can inspect the installation.
